Graffiti Clean-up Requires Plenty of Elbow Grease
Tom Stackpoole put it best when it comes to graffiti, or make that trying to remove it.
“It’s easier putting it on that taking it off,” he said as he used his elbow grease to remove some markings on a building in the Jos. Campau alley.
Saturday’s graffiti cleanup was organized by Heather Martin, who has been fed up with the growing blight.
“It went really well,” she said after the cleaning. “It was a lot of work, and I wish more people came out.”
Over a dozen volunteers helped out, armed with various solvents and power hoses. It’s pretty tough work, and the longer the graffiti has been on, the tougher it is to remove.
But at least, a dent was made.
