Police seek three suspects in store hold-up

By Charles Sercombe
You’d think it would be a bad time to rob a store on busy Jos. Campau during Paczki Day.
But for three bandits, it turned to be perfect timing at Game Stop last Tuesday (Feb. 16). Hamtramck police say three black men, at about 6 feet tall and wearing jeans, hoodies and masks that covered the lower part of their face, entered the store at 6:45 p.m.
They ordered store customers to the rear of the building and to get down on the floor. Some of the customers were small children, 4 and 7 years old. Two of the suspects had handguns. They emptied the cash register and took three X-Box players as well as 50 X-Box games, each worth $50.
The suspects did not rob the customers.
They apparently entered so quickly the store employees could not trigger a silent alarm.
“These guys got a quick drop on them,” said Detective Ben Bielecki.
Bielecki said that despite the crowded streets of Paczki Day revelers, no one saw where the men went to.
Anyone with information is asked to call Hamtramck Police at (313) 876-7800.

sad part is they can never use the xbox live settings because they have serial numbers and i’m sure the store notified the company of the stolen xbox id’s from their inventory sheets. soon as they sign in online they can track them. this is one reason why its bad to buy hot electronics kids.
